FAQ
Tuscany offers something special no matter what season you choose to visit. Italians follow the seasons closely, and celebrate which crops they are able to harvest during certain times of the year. If you visit in September, for example, you may be able to witness the ‘vendemmia’, or harvesting of the grapes to make wine. In late October/November, instead, you would have the opportunity to participate in harvesting the olives and pressing them to make fresh olive oil.
In terms of the weather, during the Spring (April to June) and Fall (September to October) the weather is mild, and the landscapes are vibrant. Summer (July and August) offers warmer days, which is when most people choose to visit. The winter months (December to February) can be cooler, but there are fewer tourists.
